How much does a trip cost?  

Average cost for most trips out of the country are around $1600.00 dollars. However, those prices vary based on flight prices and time of year for the trip. 
Cost for trips within the US varies based on destination. Average price is around $500-$700.

What is included in the cost? Is airfare included? 

Included the cost of the trip are the following: Meals, lodging, transportation and airfare. Personal purchases and snacks are not included.

Can I make a donation to support someone else to participate on a mission trip? 

          Yes. If you are writing a check, please identify the person's name in the memo line that you are supporting. 

How do I get on your mailing list?

Are my contributions tax deductible?

Yes, your contributions are tax deductible.

Do I need a passport to travel?

All North Americans traveling outside of the country must have a passport. You will not be allowed into any of the countries we work in without one. Check with your post office for a passport application, go to the U.S. Department of State web page: or the Passport Canada web page: 
If you are applying for a new passport, please allow 4 to 8 weeks for this process. All travelers should bring a photocopy of the first two pages of their passport in their carry-on luggage

Do I need vaccinations?

All groups are encouraged to have the following vaccinations prior to traveling to outside of the US are encouraged to obtain the following:
  • Hepatitis A/B
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria (DT)
  • Preventative Malaria medication.

What do I need to Pack? 

A suggested packing list will be sent out to the group one-month from departure. You will need to bring a refillable water bottle.

How much money do I need to bring?

The amount of money you take will depend on your desire to buy souvenirs or snacks. Meals are taken care of. We recommend bringing $150-250 in small bills for souvenirs and emergency situations. Shopping will be available throughout the week as we travel to the villages and on the way to the airport.

Can I volunteer with Rowkids even if I can't go on the Mission Trips?

Absolutely! You don't have to fly to Belize or Guetmala to help Rowkids! If you live in the Bluffton, Hilton Head Island or Savannah area you can simply volunteer with us. If you live somewhere else, we can still use your help! We are looking for volunteers with all sorts of skills to help us with anything from preparing mailings to marketing our campaigns.
